Healing On The Streets

thought posted by Mark H on Wednesday 14 March 05:00PM

Preparation for Healing On The Streets (HOTS) is really hotting up. Just ten days to go and I feel like I’m going to burst with anticipation of all that God is going to do! I’m asking Holy Spirit to create Jesus within people, just like He did with Mary. I’m asking Him for an increased healing anointing upon the whole team. Why not join me?

The banner has gone to the printers, and Anthea has just sent me some fantastic pics of HOTS in Coleraine.

The only thing we’re waiting on now is confirmation from the local council that we can have the same spot on the streets in Inverness on a regular basis. This is really important if we are to build relationships with people through creating church on the streets. Please pray a huge blessing for those in the council who are weighing our request.

Sorted!

We now have permission from the local council for 10:30am to 1pm every Saturday at the Eastgate (by M&S).

Praise God! Thanks for your prayers!

Hi Mark,

The site looks great. Wonderful to see God at work. I can’t wait to see everything else that God does this year.

Blessings…

Brother Mark,
I’m praying for you and anxiously looking forward to hearing how it goes. While I’m in a very rural area, the only place nearby where we could do “HOTS” is a Walmart Supercenter (and that boat won’t float), I’m inspired reading about this evangelistic outreach. Please share the triumphs and the tragedies (should there be any), but, please share.
In my prayers!
Marty

Thanks for the encouragement guys.

Marty, I’ll be posting reports here as soon as we’re running. I really believe that God wants to heal and that we can form a kind of “church on the streets” rather than outreach from where church is right now. I know we’ll learn a lot and we’ll need to persevere. I’m also looking forward to lots of testimonies. There was a guy healed just walking past HOTS in Colraine the other week – reminds me of Peter’s shadow in Acts.

So stay tuned :-)

Thanks for all your prayers.

Why does the leaflet say “God CAN heal you today”?
Why not be more biblical and say “God WILL”?
All the barriers to healing on God’s side are gone. Jesus’ response to the doubter of His willingness is “I am wiling – be healed”.
People don’t need another doctor who may or may not have a cure, they need faithful Jesus who comes through everytime.

Totally agree with you James. Maybe we need to revise the leaflet next time we need some printing.

We’ve been doing this for 18 months now (date of this post is March 2007) and we do tell people both God CAN heal and God WANTS to / is WILLING to heal. (The only caveat I’m aware of is really on our part, i.e. of those offering to minister His healing – Matthew 17:21, Mark 9:29)

Be blessed and keep coming back for stories – there isn’t always time to write them all down :-)
