over all the glory there will be a canopy (Isaiah 4)

The highway byway revival

This prophetic encouragement brought by Stacey Campbell is at the centre of Patricia King's book Light belongs in the darkness. I'm "haunted" by the Holy Ghost whenever I read it, let alone this recording of when Stacey first gave it:

Light belongs in the darkness
The Lord is issuing us a challenge. He is saying "Come, for all things are now ready and the time of My great banquet is approaching. Prepare yourselves in that wedding gown; make yourself ready and fill yourselves with righteous acts that will reflect My Glory - the glory of compassion, mercy, loving kindness, truth, forgiveness, and justice. Prepare yourselves, for I too am preparing for that day"

For many years we have believed that those truly hungry for the Lord Jesus would simply come into our church buildings. We have forgotten that Jesus shined among those who needed Him most - by being amongst those who needed Him most.

I believe that it's time for the church to spend some time away from the building, in the kinds of places that Jesus went during His earthly ministry - the highways, byways, pubs, clubs, and wells.
