Taking the Father's love into the streets of Inverness

thought posted by Mark H on Wednesday 28 February 08:10PM

Welcome to this new website which is dedicated to taking the Father’s love into the streets of Inverness in the heart of the Highlands of Scotland.

We are privileged to live in very exciting days. Our Heavenly Father is stirring the hearts of Christians all over the Inverness area to take His love outwith the walls of local churches and into the streets, and to to do so together, regardless of church, denomination, or stream. Some of the exciting things that are already starting to happen include:

  • our Heavenly Father is releasing exciting visions for the city, including an awareness of increased angelic activity
  • there are regular prayer walks in the city centre
  • a Healing On The Streets (HOTS) ministry will start at the end of March, using this model
  • planning has started for Street Pastors, expressing practical love and care to those enjoying the city’s night life, using this model
  • simple pub and street ministry
  • re-launch of the local YMCA as the Christian Youth Centre with a fresh vision and purpose
  • all manner of prayer, including a national prayer walk
  • all kinds of acts of kindness and meeting the felt needs of those living in the city

There’s no doubt about it: revival is coming and we’re excited to be here for such a time as this.

It is our hope that this website will form a hub for those who share the vision, to communicate together, sharing visions, testimonies and prayer requests, and publicising events on our calendar. We do not want this website to replace broader forms of church communication in the region such as the excellent Christians Together ministry, but rather to form a centre of encouragement for those who feel specifically compelled to go into all the world starting on our own streets.

The site is currently in its infancy. Check back regularly for new information, or subscribe to one of our feeds via a reader or via email. You can leave comments on the site or you can directly. We’d love to hear from you.

God said "it is not good for the man to be alone", or in this context: there's nothing worse than a monologue! Why not leave a comment and join the discussion?
