Street Pastors Information Day
posted by Mark H on Thursday 15 May 10:25AM
Saturday 31 May 04:00PM until 05:00PM

Inverness Street Pastors are looking for new recruits (more than twelve actually!). Why not come along to our information day at the CYC on Bank Street to find out more?
What is a Street Pastor?
A Street Pastor is any church member with a concern for society – in particular young people who feel themselves to be excluded and marginalised – and who is willing to engage people where they are, in terms of their thinking (i.e. their perspective of life) and location (i.e. where they hang out -be it on the streets, in the pubs and clubs or at parties etc).
Could I do it?

There are currently over 20 Street Pastors in Inverness from 10 different local churches from a broad range of denominations. They are ordinary men and women aged between 18 and 180 (or thereabouts!).
We’ll provide you with all the training you require to be both safe and effective on the streets (next training starts in June).
How do I find out more?
Come along to our information day. No commitment necessary:
Saturday May 31st
4pm – 5pm
Christian Youth Centre (YMCA) on Bank Street

God said "it is not good for the man to be alone", or in this context: there's nothing worse than a monologue! Why not leave a comment and join the discussion?

Wow, Mark, wish there were street pastors here and someone to equip us to minister.
I will keep you updated of what’s happening. Thanks again for being there.
