over all the glory there will be a canopy (Isaiah 4)
More than we can ask or imagine

There’s a verse in the Bible that describes the abundance of God’s love for us in terms of Him doing far more than we could ever ask or think in our prayers (Ephesians 3:20).
We met a young lady on the streets last summer and our Street Pastors and Healing On The Streets teams have been helping her. She’s become a really valued friend to many of us and we look forward to seeing her. So we were quite upset when she was rushed into hospital in February with pneumonia, where she remained on a ventilator for two months.
We prayed for her all through that period and although her recovery was steady and perhaps seemed unremarkable in many ways, we knew that her condition was very serious and that her family were worried about her. But we had the most amazing sense of God’s love for her as we prayed. We prayed earnestly but we just knew somehow that she had a wonderful future to look forward to.
When she came off the ventilator a few weeks ago we found out that God had been doing far more than we ever asked or thought.
When she’d arrived in hospital she’d been diagnosed with Hepatitis C which the doctors didn’t treat at the same time as the pneumonia. The doctors took a blood test last week to prescribe a course of treatment and found that she no longer has Hepatitis C!
She’s also received a significant improvement to her eye sight and now needs weaker glasses.
On top of which, of course, she’s now able to go home to her family.
Our God’s love is abundant beyond all we could ask or imagine!

God said "it is not good for the man to be alone", or in this context: there's nothing worse than a monologue! Why not leave a comment and join the discussion?
