over all the glory there will be a canopy (Isaiah 4)

"I might not need this anymore!"

A gentleman came to us at Healing On The Streets last Saturday walking awkwardly with the aid of a stick and obviously in a lot of pain. He explained that he was waiting for surgery on his hip joint and that the pain in his hip and in both knees was unbearable. His G.P. hadn’t been able to find a pain killer that worked for him.

We sat him down and asked permission to place our hands gently on his hip and minister Father’s love and healing to him. He agreed. We thanked our Heavenly Daddy for His love and commanded a restoration of the man’s hip. Straight away, he said “this is lovely, I could stay here all morning”. We asked him what he meant and he explained that all the pain had lifted away and he couldn’t remember when he last wasn’t in pain.

We helped him to his feet and he told us that he felt great. Waving his stick he said “I might not need this anymore. I’m only leaning on it out of habit. Maybe I could try going for a run down the street?” We suggested that he test it out gradually and come back in a week or two to let us know how he is getting along. We also gave him our standard letter suggesting that he gets it checked out by a doctor.

He was so overjoyed! He just kept repeating “I can’t believe it! I can’t believe it! I never knew God could do something so real and so suddenly.”

Our reply, fighting back tears of joy for this lovely and gracious old man: “Believe it! God loves you!”
